Doris grew up in Koblenz/Rhine, Germany. There she completed an apprenticeship and state certification in Retail Business Management with honors. Then she worked at the Deutsche Bank in Koblenz and Berlin learning all aspects of banking.
She came to the United States in 1972. After working as an accountant in Pasadena, CA for four years, she moved to New York City in 1977 where she became an accountant for an import/export company. In 1982 she returned to Germany and for three years served as Assistant Controller for a medical care/rehabilitation center in Bad Krozingen, Germany.
Doris returned to the United States in 1986 and was hired as an accountant for a holding company in Falls Church, Virginia, which provides financial and legal services for its 27 affiliates. She remained there until 1996 when she joined The Richard Norman Company. She has served as the Richard Norman Company’s Controller since 1996, and is currently the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the company and its affiliates.
